Partnering with In-House Community Provider Crafty Counsel
This year, Complete Projects has had the pleasure of partnering with Crafty Counsel on several key events, including their M&A Day, the highly anticipated Crafty Fest, and their Partner’s Day. Each event has provided us with invaluable opportunities to connect with in-house legal teams, continue learning, and share our legal and project expertise. As we prepare for our next adventure together at Crafty Fest Europe in Amsterdam this November, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what’s been an exceptional partnership and look forward to what’s ahead.
M&A Day: Exploring the World of Mergers and Acquisitions
Our partnership with Crafty Counsel kicked off at their M&A Day, where in-house legal professionals gathered to delve into the intricacies of M&A — an area where Complete Projects excels. The day was filled with insightful sessions, from real-life deal scenarios to discussions on how AI is influencing the M&A landscape.
For us, one of the standout lessons was the crucial role of managing internal stakeholders during large transactions. Ensuring that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities is key to the successful execution of any project. This aligns closely with our own approach to legal structuring, where clarity and communication are at the forefront.
Crafty Fest: A Unique Blend of Insight and Relaxation
Crafty Fest was undoubtedly a highlight of the year! This festival-style event combined stimulating discussions with opportunities to unwind, creating a perfect environment for networking and idea-sharing. We had the chance to engage with legal professionals in a more informal setting, discussing how our flexible legal and project management services can alleviate the stress of corporate structuring and governance projects.
One of the most impactful moments was hearing Lee Castleton’s moving account of his fight for justice during the Horizon IT scandal. His story was a powerful reminder of the ethical responsibilities that legal professionals bear and the importance of speaking up when something isn’t right. It was a session that resonated deeply with everyone in attendance.
As a partner of the event, Complete Projects also organised the afternoon massage session, courtesy of Essential Vitality, where attendees could relax and recharge. The session was a massive success—turns out, lawyers love a massage! And if we can help you unwind at an event, imagine what we can do for your legal projects.
Partner’s Day: Gaining Insights and Building Relationships
Partner’s Day was all about understanding the real needs of in-house legal teams. For us, this event was an opportunity to ask the right questions: what do our clients truly want? The insights gained have been incredibly valuable in shaping how we present our services and connect with clients moving forward.
This event also highlighted the invaluable support Crafty Counsel provides in helping us refine our business development strategies. Their dedication to fostering meaningful connections within the in-house legal community has been instrumental in our success this year.
Looking Ahead: Crafty Fest Europe in Amsterdam
As we look forward to November, we are thrilled to be a headline partner at Crafty Fest Europe, Crafty Counsel’s first-ever European conference. This event promises to bring together in-house legal professionals from across the UK and EU for a day of inspiring panels, dynamic workshops, and enjoyable networking.
We’re particularly excited that our own Keith Bottomley will be participating in a panel discussion on Cross-border Transformation—a topic that’s close to our hearts here at Complete Projects. While we can’t share too many details just yet, rest assured that we’ll be keeping you updated on LinkedIn, so keep an eye out for more information.
Conclusion
From the detailed discussions at M&A Day to the relaxing moments at Crafty Fest and the valuable insights at Partner’s Day, our partnership with Crafty Counsel has been a highlight of 2024. We’re eagerly anticipating the next chapter at Crafty Fest Europe and look forward to the opportunities it will bring. And as ever, we’re super grateful to the whole Crafty team for their support throughout the year.
If you’re attending the event in Amsterdam, we’d love to catch up and continue these great conversations!
